As such, many technicians are working overtime, which forces the contractors that employ them to pay them more. Those additional costs are passed off to the end consumer as a matter of necessity.

In the spring, the demand for furnace technicians and installation professionals is low. Thus, you don’t have to worry about conditions in the labor market from inflating the price. This has the potential to save you hundreds of dollars. If you’re looking at replacing your furnace and can make it until the end of winter with your current unit or a temporary solution (such as the use of space heaters), you might save a bundle.
