HVAC PRICE INCREASES

2025 HVAC Market Forces & Regulatory Shifts

Several key factors are driving price changes in 2025, including:

  • Refrigerant Transition to R-454B: The industry-wide move away from R-410A to low-GWP refrigerants like R-454B is affecting equipment prices and availability. Some manufacturers are increasing unit pre-charges to reduce the need for field-added refrigerant, due to widespread shortages of R-454B cylinders.
  • Ongoing Inflation & Commodity Cost Increases: Rising costs in metals, electronics, transportation, and logistics continue to impact production and distribution.
  • Global Supply Chain Disruptions: Uncertainty in overseas shipping lanes, railways, and materials procurement—especially related to ongoing geopolitical tensions—are adding further pressure to prices.

Continue below for the most recent and historical price announcements by manufacturer.
